3 1/2 cups rolled oats
1 c. finely chopped almonds
1 cup whole wheat flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/3 c. butter or coconut oil
1/2 c. peanut butter
1/2 cup honey
1/2 c. chopped dates and 1/2 c. water cooked to a thick syrup (if you don't gave dates you can use 1/2 c sugar.)
1 cup chocolate chips chopped
Mix oats and flour in large bowl. In sauce pan combine dates and water, cook and stir until thick paste forms. Remove from heat, add butter/coconut oil, peanut butter, honey, vanilla and soda.
Pour over oat mixture adn mix well. Press into greased 9 x 13 pan. Bake at 350" 10 min then remove from oven and use spatula to firmly press into pan. Bake another 12 minutes.
Cool 10 min. and then cut. Do not remove from pan until completely col.
