Homemade Condensed Cream of Mushroom soup

Use this in place of canned cream soups in your recipes.


1 teaspoon onion powder
2 tablespoons organic cornstarch
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/8 teaspoon white pepper
1/4 teaspoon salt (or to your taste)
Pinch of sugar
1 cup milk
Handful (approx. 3/4 cup) fresh mushrooms, sliced or a heaping 1/4 c. of dehydrated mushrooms)

I put all ingredients into a pan and then use my immersion blender for a minute or so. Then heat, stirring constantly.
